Caitlin Doughty read at the Mt Auburn cemetery from her book "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes: And Other Lessons from the Crematory." The Q and A session was brilliant. And Mt Auburn was great to host the event. There was a little tension at the end, however, when Caitlin's death-positive message included encouragement to spend more time in the cemetery walking and thinking and picnicking. It turns out that the cemetery rules don't allow picnics. Perhaps that could be changed.
